Latest News - Cubs give it FIREPOWER!

On the weekend of the 13th several of our cubs were lucky enough to spend a whole weekend in London on a district trip organised by our friends in Wash Common. Never ones to miss an experience the whole Greenham leader team went along for the ride as well!

As well as visting the Museum of London (and getting to see the 2012 Olympic cauldron up close) we crossed the Thames in just about all the ways you can think of.. walking over (bridge) and under (foot tunnel), riding along on a water taxi and high in the sky on the Emerates sky line. We spent the Satruday evening at the firepower museum carrying out a number of fun activities but unfortunately were not able to visit Downing Street on the Sunday. Everyone was well and truly exhausted by the end of the weekend.

The cubs all had a fantastic time and would recommend that if an opportunity comes up again that people take the opportunity!

Firepower team!

Welcome to the website for the Greenham Scout Group.

Following a taster session on Saturday 8th December 2012 at the Greenham Community Centre, the Cub Pack (youngsters aged between 8 and 10.5 yrs of age) opened 4th March 2013 with 11 Cubs, to create the first section of the 8th Scout Group currently in the Kennet District. With the news of the new Cub Pack being open in the Greenham community, by September 2013 the Pack had increased to over 20 regularly attending members.

Adding to our successful Cub Pack we now have a Beaver Section and Scout Troop, so we offer Scouting opportunities for those aged 6 - 14.5 years old.

We're still young, and looking for Leaders to help out on a regular basis. You will be provided with plenty of support from other experienced Leaders in the Group and District, so if you're interested in becoming part of a team that provides a programme packed with lots of fun and action, please contact us either using the form on this site.

Many thanks!
